About Us
The DSNNN was
founded in 2005 by Diana Harvey. She founded the organization with the goal of
promoting inclusion within our community and providing a network of support for
local families who have welcomed a child with Down syndrome. The board of
directors has since worked to implement programs that bring the DSNNN mission
to life.

In October 2011 the
DSNNN hosted it’s 6th annual Buddy Walk, bringing 800 families
together promoting acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome in our
community.

The DSNNN also
hosts family gatherings and family support meetings throughout the year so
families have a chance to connect, discuss specific topics, age-related issues,
and welcome guest speakers to give presentations.

In addition to
family outreach, the DSNNN is currently working to partner with local medical
offices and begin a First Call program. First Call allows the DSNNN to provide
resources to families who have recently been given a Down syndrome diagnosis.

While our organization grows; striving for inclusion and diversity within our community, we stay connected at our roots and continuously support one another.
